When Neel and I started writing this book two years ago, we didn’t know we were writing a book (it was actually a really bad article). As we iterated on the ideas within, we didn’t know they would evolve into a set of principles that could fundamentally change the way we work. Realizing and demonstrating that personal fulfillment and business performance are not tradeoffs after all has been incredibly transformative.
We have many of you to thank for that conclusion. Primed to Perform would likely be collecting virtual dust on Lindsay’s laptop if not for those of you who listened to and problem-solved with us; who sent encouraging thoughts and messages; who believed in former consultants with no formal writing experience; and who bore the brunt of our earlier, less evolved leadership styles (forgive us!). We are incalculably grateful for your support.
We’re both juggling this strange feeling of closure since the book is finally coming out but at the same time anticipation because the ideas will be out in the world; it’s really only the beginning. We’re excited for what’s to come and to continue on the journey with all of you.
